Corné RoosCorné Roos (1989 Amsterdam) is an improviser and composer, who studied composition with Markus Hechtle (Master) at the Academy of Music and Dance in Cologne after finishing his Bachelor degree with Yannis Kyriakides, Calliope Tsoupaki and Gilius van Bergeijk at the Royal Conservatory The Hague.
As a composer he has aided in the organisation of a 20 harmonium concert as a part of an experimental collective of musicians. During his studies, he composed for several ensembles, like Modelo62, Slagwerkgroep Den Haag, The Gambling Ensemble, The Brendan Faegre Edge Ensemble, Ensemble Musikfabrik, and Goedlaak Music Collective. His first orchestral piece was written as an assignment for the Acht Brücken Festival in Cologne. He attended the Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik in Darmstadt as a visitor in 2010 and he participated in a week of masterclasses in Montepulciano, Italy. Now he is active as a performer/composer/producer of the Goedlaak Music Collective. As an improviser, he attended the Dutch Impro Academy under the guidance of Han Bennink, Cor Fuhler, Wilbert de Joode, Wolter Wierbos, Peter van Bergen and Tristan Honsinger. With his duo -2, he had performances in Switzerland, the Netherlands and Israel. Now his main focus is his trio, together with Maksym Kolomiiets (oboe) and Vladimir Guicheff (guitar, toys, voice). He performed, or has been performed, in The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, Serbia and Italy. |
